You will work at the intersection of weather data modelling and fundamental forecasting, collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to advance research-to-action initiatives.

Qualifications

• Educational background in quantitative fields.
• Proficient in production-quality Python code.
• Experience with Linux-based environments and command-line tools.
• Ability to translate weather data into actionable insights for trading.
• Familiarity with large datasets and data-driven modelling.

Responsibilities

• Conducting research in AI- and data-driven weather modelling within a power trading context.
• Developing and improving fundamental forecasting solutions translating weather signals into market insights.
• Performing ad hoc weather and market analyses to support trading and decision-making.
• Exploring new data sources and modelling approaches to strengthen weather capabilities.
• Turning research into robust, scalable solutions used by traders and algorithms.
