Unity is seeking an experienced engineer to design unified APIs across platforms, contributing code and tests to the Unity engine. You will collaborate with teams across Unity and craft components that work across desktop, mobile, and console targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in C# and developing Unity-based games and extending the Unity editor.
• Experience abstracting platform requirements into a cohesive API surface.
• Knowledge of native development on at least one desktop, mobile, or console platform.
• Experience contributing to cross-team projects from initiation to completion.

Responsibilities

• Craft unified APIs that implement features across platforms in a testable way.
• Contribute API implementations to the Unity codebase with unit tests.
• Advocate for unification of disparate platform implementations into simple abstractions.
• Deliver a stable product with robust API design and high-quality C# and C++ coding practices.
• Refactor existing code to improve efficiency and maintainability while addressing user feedback.
