The Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) at the University of Copenhagen invites engineers with deep UHV, crystal growth, and automation expertise to join a cutting-edge materials platform for quantum technologies.

You will help develop automated growth processes, integrate advanced instrumentation, and drive process monitoring, logging, and system optimization in a collaborative international setting.

Qualifications

  • Experience with ultra-high vacuum technology and crystal growth systems.
  • Strong background in process engineering and laboratory automation.
  • Familiarity with PLC/industrial control, instrumentation, and data monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and optimize advanced UHV systems and crystal growth processes.
  • Develop automated growth procedures and integrate instrumentation.
  • Implement process monitoring, logging, and data acquisition systems.
  • Support commissioning of new crystal growth equipment and ensure throughput.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers on complex research infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and improve stability, reproducibility and process performance.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams in an international research environment.
  • Contribute to the development of next-generation quantum technologies.
