As a global market leader, we’ll give you what you need to make it happen. It won’t always be easy, growing takes grit. But at ABB, you’ll never run alone. Run what runs the world.

This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. SoftBank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing. By joining us now, you’ll be part of a pioneering team shaping the future of robotics—working alongside world-class experts in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

This Position reports to:

Head of Treasury Middle Office and Controls

You will be a member of the Treasury Middle Office and Controls team, responsible for ensuring the accurate accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and control of treasury activities across ABB Robotics. The role will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of treasury data within Kyriba, supporting treasury accounting processes, and ensuring treasury transactions are correctly reflected in financial reporting systems. Beyond supporting day-to-day treasury accounting and controls activities, you will contribute to building and enhancing the treasury operating model, systems landscape, and control framework of ABB Robotics as it transitions into a standalone company.

The location of the role is flexible within Europe.

The working model is hybrid #LI-hybrid

Your responsibilities:
  • Own Treasury Accounting & Month-End Close: Take ownership of treasury accounting and reporting activities, playing a key role in the month-end close process and ensuring treasury transactions and balances are accurately recorded and reflected in the financial reporting systems.
  • Ensure Accurate Reconciliations & Controls: Review, validate and reconcile treasury-related accounting entries and balances between Kyriba, SAP and other financial systems. Work closely with FAO on pre- and post-closing checks, investigate discrepancies and ensure the accuracy and completeness of treasury records.
  • Manage Treasury Data & Accounting Set-up: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of treasury transaction data and accounting configurations in Kyriba, covering bank accounts, cash pools, short- and long-term loans, FX forwards and swaps, investments and guarantees.
  • Strengthen Processes, Policies & Controls: Maintain and continuously improve treasury accounting processes, models, policies, procedures and controls. Support audit and SOX requirements, identify operational risks and drive improvements to strengthen the treasury control framework.
  • Enable Effective Treasury Systems: Support treasury system enhancements, testing, integrations and implementation activities, acting as a key interface between Treasury, Accounting and IS teams to ensure effective processes, systems and data flows.
  • Drive Automation & Transformation: Contribute to treasury transformation initiatives, including the development of the Treasury Operating Model, process automation and the use of data analytics and AI-enabled solutions to improve treasury processes, controls and reporting.
Your background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field; an accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent is a strong plus.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Treasury Accounting, Financial Accounting, Controlling, Treasury Operations or a similar Middle Office function, ideally in a multinational environment.
  • Strong hands‑on experience in month‑end closing processes, including reviewing and validating accounting entries, performing account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
  • Solid knowledge of treasury products and their accounting treatment, particularly short- and long‑term loans, FX forwards and FX swaps; exposure to cash pools, investments, guarantees or trade finance is an advantage.
  • Experience working with Treasury Management Systems and ERP systems; Kyriba and SAP experience is considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and a proactive, collaborative mindset. Interest or experience in process automation, data analytics or AI-enabled solutions is highly valued.
  • Fluent English is required; other languages are a plus.
