Job summary

DTU’s Fermentation Cultures group invites applications for a one-year research position focused on fungal biology, transcriptomics, and food innovation. The project sits within BRIGHT and aims to design microbial foods with sustainable textures and flavors.

You will work with state-of-the-art microscopy, multi-omics analyses, and food prototyping, with potential for PhD progression in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
• Hands-on experience with fungal systems and mycology is highly desirable.
• Experience with confocal microscopy and data analysis is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Engage in interdisciplinary research at the interface of biology, imaging and food innovation.
• Investigate fungal morphology, texture formation, and their links to food perception.
• Collaborate with BRIGHT and DTU groups to advance microbial food design and sustainable processes.
