Job summary

DEIF A/S is looking for a Test Developer in its R&D Software department to design, build, and maintain test infrastructure and automation for our embedded controller platform. You will work closely with software and hardware teams to ensure efficient validation across projects using CI/CD and AI-supported tools.

Qualifications

• Experience with embedded system testing.
• 2–3 years of hands-on test automation experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Interest in AI-supported development (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly in line with engineering standards.

About the job

As a Test Developer in DEIF's R&D Software department, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining test infrastructure and automation solutions for our embedded controller platform.

You will work closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and quality specialists to ensure efficient and reliable validation across projects.

As part of our engineering environment, you will also work with modern development practices and AI-supported tools such as GitHub Copilot. These tools are used to support implementation of test scripts, infrastructure configuration, documentation, and continuous improvement of validation workflows, while maintaining strong quality, review, and security standards.

Work location: DEIF's headquarters is in Skive. However, to attract the right candidate, we are open to offering the option to work from our satellite offices in Aalborg, Silkeborg, or Odense.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a dedicated engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to work. You thrive both when working independently and as part of a team, and you enjoy collaborating across functions in a high-tech environment.

In addition, you bring:

• Experience with embedded system testing
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience with test automation, preferably using tools such as Pytest
• Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• An interest in AI-supported development (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
• The ability to use AI tools responsibly in line with engineering standards
