Job summary

DEIF A/S seeks a Senior Software Developer to take technical ownership while staying hands-on in development within the UX & Cloud Software team of about 15 skilled colleagues. You will combine hands-on development with technical leadership—helping to define direction, guide decisions, and strengthen the team’s capabilities.

You will work closely with developers, designers, and domain experts to build solutions that connect embedded systems with modern cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Relevant educational background in software development or similar.
• 5–7+ years of experience as a software developer.
• Fluency in Danish and English.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of selected products and solutions across embedded and desktop applications.
• Define and communicate architectural direction, technical principles, and best practices.
• Act as a sparring partner and mentor for developers in the team.
• Use modern AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, to support implementation, refactoring, test creation, and documentation.
• Contribute actively to design, development, and code reviews.
• Ensure high standards for code quality, performance, and testability.

Your role

As a Senior Software Developer in our UX & Cloud Software team, you will take on a key role in a team of around 15 skilled colleagues. You will combine hands‑on development with technical leadership – helping to define direction, guide decisions, and strengthen the capabilities of the team.

You will work closely with developers, designers, and domain experts to build solutions that connect embedded systems with modern cloud platforms.

Working Tasks & Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of selected products and solutions across embedded and desktop applications
• Define and communicate architectural direction, technical principles, and best practices
• Act as a sparring partner and mentor for developers in the team
• Use modern AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, to support implementation, refactoring, test creation, and documentation.
• Contribute actively to design, development, and code reviews
• Ensure high standards for code quality, performance, and testability

Technologies and ways of working

You will work hands‑on with modern tools and technologies, including:

• Node.js and cloud‑based services
• MQTT, event‑driven architecture, and microservices
• RESTful APIs and automated testing (Playwright, Vitest, pytest)

Your profile

• Relevant educational background in software development or similar
• 5–7+ years of experience as a software developer
• Strong interest in combining hands‑on development with technical leadership
• Experience working with modern frontend and/or cloud‑based technologies
• Able to communicate fluently in Danish and English
