Job summary

Aarhus University in Denmark invites applications for two positions at the rank of Tenure Track Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor, within Materials Engineering and Manufacturing. You will contribute to research and teaching in materials science, durability, and advanced manufacturing, with emphasis on additive/hybrid manufacturing and surface engineering.

Qualifications

PhD in materials science and engineering or closely related field.
Substantial high-quality research record with publications in leading journals.
University-level teaching experience and commitment to teaching.
Ability to attract external research funding and collaborate across disciplines.
Interdisciplinary collaboration across engineering disciplines and with industry.

Responsibilities

Teach, contribute to, and develop courses in materials science and engineering, additive manufacturing, and manufacturing processes.
Contribute to the further development of the materials and manufacturing science curriculum.
Supervise bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students.
Attract external research funding and engage with industry partners.
Participate in departmental and university service activities.
Collaborate across engineering disciplines and with external partners.
