Syddansk Universitet (University of Southern Denmark - SDU) invites applications for a full-time Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Multiphysics Simulation and Design Optimisation. The position will start on or after January 1, 2027, based at the SDU campus in Odense.
The successful candidate will lead independent research, participate in academic teaching, and engage with industrial partners. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline and experience in numerical methods for multiphysics.
SDU Mechanical Engineering (SDU ME) invites applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Multiphysics Simulation and Design Optimisation. The position is full‑time, based at the SDU main campus in Odense, and will start on or after 1 January 2027.
You will join the “Multiphysics Simulation, Optimisation, and Experimentation” (MSOE) research group, contribute to current projects, define new independent research directions, apply for grants, and participate in teaching and student supervision across Bachelor and Master programmes.
The MSOE group focuses on advanced simulation and optimisation for multiphysics, thermomechanical, fluid flow, conjugate heat transfer, and experimental validation. The broader SDU ME and IME provide a multidisciplinary environment covering fluid mechanics, heat transfer, multiphysics simulation, optimisation, structural dynamics, composite materials, mechanical design, maritime structures, high‑frequency electronics, batteries and super‑capacitors, additive manufacturing, smart structures and energy technologies.
