Maersk Training in Esbjerg is seeking an electrician with teaching flair to deliver technical GWO courses and customer-specific training for the wind industry. The role combines hands-on training with safety and development, and onboarding is provided.
You will travel regularly to other Maersk Training locations and customer sites within Denmark and internationally, with opportunities to broaden into maritime or oil and gas training.
Do you have an electrical background and want to put your experience to use in a new way? At Maersk Training, we are looking for a colleague to help train the people who work on wind turbines and other technical installations.
This is an opportunity to combine your technical knowledge with hands‑on teaching, safety and development. You will help participants understand how to carry out their tasks and why the right approach makes a difference.
You do not need to be an experienced instructor when you join. We provide thorough onboarding and the necessary instructor qualification. You bring technical expertise, curiosity and a willingness to share what you know.
You will join an instructor team with varied technical backgrounds and experience across several industries. We draw on each other’s expertise when delivering training and developing our courses.
Your primary focus will be delivering technical GWO courses and customer‑specific training for the wind industry. While your main workplace will be our training centre in Esbjerg, the role also involves regular travel in connection with delivering training at other Maersk Training locations and on customer sites, both within Denmark and internationally. You should therefore expect travel to be a natural and integral part of the position.
As you develop in the role, you can work with your manager and technical leads to broaden your teaching scope. This could include maritime or oil and gas training, with your skills and interests helping to shape your development.
We offer:
Your main responsibility is to deliver training that is technically sound, engaging and relevant to participants’ work. You will make technical subjects accessible and create an environment where people can ask questions, practise and build their skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
Depending on your qualifications and further training, your role may also include maritime STCW courses and OPITO courses for the oil and gas industry.
You are a qualified electrician with preferably experience as a technical instructor within the wind industry and/or High Voltage (HV) training. You have a sound technical understanding, ideally supported by practical wind turbine experience in pre‑assembly, installation, service, commissioning or decommissioning.
You take pride in your work, put safety first and enjoy helping others develop. You work well with colleagues, are open to learning about new technical areas and are willing to lead a group.
We also look for:
Experience in teaching, GWO Basic Technical Training, electrical safety, LOTO or customer‑specific technical training is an advantage, but is not essential. German language skills are also a plus.
Ideally, you live in or around Esbjerg.
