The LEGO Group in Billund, Denmark, is seeking a Technology Projects Director, R&D Packing & Packaging / Platform Technology to lead a global team delivering strategic packing technology projects. You will drive automation, ensure disciplined execution, and partner with engineering, innovation and production sites to achieve cost savings and throughput gains.

Fluent English and willingness to travel internationally are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the global Technology Projects team of 14, including consultants, building project management capabilities, accountability and execution excellence.
• Deliver strategic Packing Technology projects that achieve agreed quality, timing and business outcomes.
• Establish clear project expectations, objectives, deliverables and success criteria with key stakeholders.
• Ensure project plans, milestones, resources and commitments are reviewed, aligned and approved at the right decision points.
• Maintain oversight of project execution, monitoring progress, risks, deviations and corrective actions throughout all project phases.
• Encourage innovative automation and technology solutions that deliver cost savings, reduced operational effort, smaller equipment footprints and higher throughput.
• Lead technology development and automation projects through your team, delivering innovative packing solutions and measurable operational savings.
• Build strong partnerships with strategic suppliers, ensuring technical quality and delivery against commitments.
• Establish consistent project management practices and governance across the global Technology Projects team.
• Share priorities, resources and capabilities across Platform Technology department to support common objectives and global collaboration.
