Job summary

emagine is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead CAPEX initiatives and deliver MES-driven solutions in manufacturing environments. You will oversee IT feasibility studies before investments, ensuring IT alignment with operations and ROI-driven decisions.

The role focuses on structured gate-based evaluation, cost estimates across MES, automation, and SAP, and coordinating vendor negotiations. Location is Aarhus with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading IT feasibility studies for CAPEX projects.
• Strong background in MES and process automation.
• Experience with URS and RFQ processes.
• Familiarity with gate model stages: Exploration, Development, CAPEX Gate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct IT feasibility studies using a gate model (Exploration → Development → CAPEX Gate).
• Produce initial estimates of IT workload and costs across MES, automation, SAP.
• Evaluate implementation options based on ROI, standardization, flexibility, and safety.
• Define project scope for infrastructure, MES, and SAP systems.
• Create process and data flow diagrams; draft assessments.
• Write URS and RFQs; support vendor negotiations.
• Develop implementation plans and ensure smooth handover to project managers.

emagine is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager with proven experience leading CAPEX initiatives and delivering MES-driven solutions in manufacturing environments

This role focuses on managing IT feasibility studies for CAPEX projects, ensuring that all IT aspects are carefully assessed before any investments are made, thus contributing significantly to the organization’s operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct IT feasibility studies using a structured gate model (Exploration → Development → CAPEX Gate)
• Produce early estimates of IT workload and costs across various systems (MES, automation, SAP)
• Evaluate implementation conditions and potential solutions based on ROI, standardization, flexibility, and safety
• Define project scope for various systems (infrastructure, MES, SAP, etc.)
• Create process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and assessments
• Write user requirements specifications (URS) and requests for quotations (RFQs)
• Provide technical support during vendor negotiations
• Develop implementation plans and ensure a structured handover to project managers

Must Haves

• Proven experience with similar assignments in the sector - Food & Beverage / Dairy Industry
• In-depth knowledge of IT and automation standards
• Strong technical background in process automation and MES
• Experience with CAPEX projects and gate models
• Familiarity with URS/RFQ processes
• Ability to work independently while structuring complex problems

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with food or process manufacturing
• Collaboration skills with vendors and management
• Knowledge of key integration tools like SAP MII

Other Details

Location: Aarhus, onsite is required - Occasional travel to production sites

Language: English (Danish is an advantage)

Duration: 12 months, with an option to extend
