Job description

Do you want to help deliver overhead transmission line projects? Can you combine electrical expertise with technical project leadership? And do you have experience establishing high-voltage installations? Then join us as our new Technical Lead!
Create the solutions that will enable a better tomorrow

As our project portfolio grows, so does the need for Technical Leads. We are looking for a consultant to take on technical project management tasks in the construction of overhead transmission lines. You will become part of a large community of Electrical Specialists in COWI, in the discipline Power Transmission and Distribution. In this role, travel to sites in Denmark or to Energinet’s offices in connection with the projects will be required.

Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Carry out detailed design, including tower locations, tower types, insulator fittings, conductor sizing, etc. by use of standard software applications.
  • Participating in external meetings with external stakeholders such as plot owners, municipalities, road authorities, etc.
  • Specify and procure components and materials through Energinet’s existing framework agreements or in collaboration with the procurement team, and specify requirements for contractor service tenders, including tender evaluation, negotiations together with the procurement team.
  • Manage contact with landowners and contribute to substation projects to ensure the overhead lines can connect to the substation bays.
  • Drive project delivery, facilitate on-site construction meetings, and handle site testing, quality assurance documentation and handover.
Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.

The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways, but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

You are proactive in your approach to tasks, collaborative and solution-oriented, and able to manage several tasks at the same time.

On top of that, you will have:
  • A structural or electrical engineering or technical background, for example as an engineer, electrical installer (installatør) or maskinmester.
  • Experience establishing high-voltage installations.
  • Experience driving projects within your area of expertise.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in Danish and English.
