Job description

You will own the full tax agenda for Nobia Group

Nobia Group is one of Europe’s largest kitchen specialists, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, operating across the Nordics.

Tax, VAT, duties, and transfer pricing are today handled across a combination of the Group accounting team and external legal counsel - a model that has served us well, but one we are now ready to move beyond.

As our first dedicated Tax Manager, you will own the full tax agenda for Nobia Group - from compliance and reporting through to transfer pricing governance and strategic tax planning. You will build the tax function from the ground up, working in close partnership with the Group CFO, the Head of Group Finance, and our Legal function.

This is a rare opportunity to define a discipline that will matter more - not less - as the Group continues to integrate and grow.

Scope of the Role

The Tax Manager will have end-to-end responsibility for all tax-related matters across Nobia Group. The role spans compliance, planning, and governance, and covers the following domains:

  • Corporate income tax - filings, assessments, and tax position management across all Group entities
  • VAT & indirect taxes - registration, returns, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Transfer pricing - policy, documentation, and intercompany pricing governance (primary area of focus)
  • Duties & customs - management of customs obligations relevant to the Group’s sourcing and distribution structure
  • Deferred tax & tax accounting - ensuring accurate tax positions in the Group’s consolidated accounts
  • Pillar Two & global minimum tax - monitoring obligations and assessing Group impact as the regulatory framework develops
Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Reporting

  • Own all corporate tax and VAT filings across Nobia Group entities, ensuring timely and accurate compliance in all relevant jurisdictions
  • Manage tax provisions and deferred tax positions in the Group’s consolidated financial statements
  • Coordinate with external advisors and local finance teams on country-level tax requirements
  • Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the Group’s tax position, including Pillar Two obligations

Transfer Pricing

  • Develop, maintain, and defend Nobia Group’s transfer pricing policy across all intercompany transactions
  • Prepare and maintain Group and local transfer pricing documentation (master file, local file) in compliance with OECD guidelines and local requirements
  • Advise on intercompany pricing for new transactions, restructurings, and commercial arrangements involving multiple entities
  • Manage tax authority inquiries and audits related to transfer pricing, working closely with external advisors where needed

Tax Planning & Advisory

  • Provide proactive tax advice to Group Finance and the Group CFO on structuring decisions, M&A activity, and cross-border transactions
  • Identify opportunities for tax optimisation within the constraints of applicable law, Group policy, and Nobia’s commitment to responsible tax practices
  • Support and gradually internalise work currently handled by external legal and advisory firms, building Group capability over time
  • Act as the primary interface with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities

Governance & Insight

  • Establish and maintain a tax risk framework, ensuring material exposures are identified, quantified, and escalated appropriately
  • Report regularly to the Group CFO and Head of Group Finance on tax positions, risks, open disputes, and regulatory developments
  • Contribute tax input to the annual budget process, including effective tax rate planning and cash tax forecasting
What We Are Looking For

Experience

  • Solid background in corporate tax from a listed company, Big Four advisory firm, or a combination
  • Proven experience in an international setup - working across multiple jurisdictions with different tax regimes is a requirement, not a preference
  • Strong transfer pricing expertise - including documentation, benchmarking, and handling of authority enquiries; this is the area where we need the most depth
  • Familiarity with VAT compliance across Nordic and/or European jurisdictions; experience with customs and duties is an advantage
  • Experience working alongside legal, finance, and external counsel in a group-company context; comfortable managing external advisors as well as being hands-on yourself
Competencies
  • Technical depth - you have genuine command of your domain and can engage credibly with tax authorities, auditors, and senior advisors without relying on others to translate
  • Commercial judgment - you can translate complex tax positions into clear business implications and advise leadership with confidence and precision
  • Builder mentality - you are energised by building structure where little exists, and can operate independently while knowing when to escape or bring in external support
  • Stakeholder fluency - you communicate with clarity at all levels, including CFO and board, and collaborate effectively across Finance, Legal, and the business
  • Integrity & judgment - you take tax seriously as a governance matter, not just a compliance exercise, and are comfortable navigating the line between optimisation and risk
Language & Education
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) - used in day-to-day work across Group and brand entities
  • Relevant academic background in Law, Economics, Business, or Accounting; professional tax qualifications (e.g.LL.M. in Tax, or equivalent) are an advantage
What We Offer
  • A newly created role with full ownership of the tax agenda for a listed, multi-country Group - rare at this career stage
  • Close collaboration with the Group CFO and Head of Group Finance - you will be a trusted voice in Group Finance leadership, not a back-office function
  • The mandate and resources to build the function properly - including the ability to engage external advisors where the complexity warrants it
  • A seat in a professionally ambitious Group Finance organisation undergoing active transformation, with real influence on how the function develops
  • Competitive compensation package commensurate with seniority and scope
  • Headquarters in Tilst, Aarhus, with flexibility for travel to Group locations and key advisors as needed
