Job summary

SORTH & CO in Denmark, supporting McBride, is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end planning, sourcing, production scheduling, packaging and distribution at the Holstebro site.

You will drive demand planning, forecasting, MRP and S&OP, oversee a 10‑person team, manage KPI reporting and continuous improvement, and align supply chain actions with regional goals.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, MRP, inventory and S&OP.
• Fluent in Danish and English.
• Ambition to become a Manager.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to influence.
• Able to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

Planning, procurement inventory and master data

McBride is a British-based manufacturing company, founded in 1927 in Manchester, UK. The core business is the development and manufacture of private-label household and professional cleaning and hygiene products, as well as contract manufacturing for brand owners. McBride operates across five main divisions: Liquids, Powders, Unit Dosing, Aerosols, and Asia Pacific. Their product portfolio includes laundry detergents, dishwasher tablets, surface cleaners, and other household and professional hygiene products. They supply large retail chains (including private label) and also provide contract manufacturing services.

They are one of the leading private‑label cleaning/hygiene manufacturers in Europe — meaning they supply many of the supermarket house‑brand products that consumers buy. Their business model allows large retail chains to outsource manufacturing of “store brand” cleaning & hygiene products, which can be cost‑effective and scalable.

In 2017, McBride acquired the Danish company Danlind and took over two production sites based in Hammel and Holstebro. For the site in Holstebro, we are searching for a Supply Chain Manager.

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will lead and manage the end-to-end supply chain operations at the site, ensuring the efficient planning, sourcing, production scheduling, packaging, and distribution of products. The Supply Chain Manager aligns site supply chain activities with divisional and corporate objectives, optimises resources, and ensures compliance with UK/EU regulatory requirements while delivering customer satisfaction at optimised cost.

The Supply Chain Manager is a critical leadership position for the Regional Business Team, working with Commercial, Operational and Financial leaders to support the Vision, Strategy, Business Performance and Organisational Capability in the region

Areas of responsibility and tasks:

• Managing the Supply Chain Department, which consists of a total 10 employees.
• Running the Supply Chain department, which includes production planning, warehouse, shipping, direct and indirect purchasing.
• ERP system and related core data.
• Comply with KPI targets, including management and related reporting.
• Initiate improvement activities and execute within the supply chain area
• Day-to-day supply chain tasks. Responsible for procurement of raw materials. Follow up on deliveries, daily contact with suppliers of raw materials.
• Ensure on-time deliveries on time.
• Backup within supply chain, in absence of team members.
• Reporting
• Weekly reporting (delivery performance, production output, Logistic numbers).
• Monthly reporting. Servings produced and tons produced
• Capacity review: Weekly production meeting, ensure production plans are aligned with demand forecast, flag any potential issues that could affect deliveries
• AD hoc lead on tasks/projects
• Site Management Team: Collaborate effectively with the site leadership team to align strategic and operational goals.

What are we looking for:

It would be great if you have a higher education within Supply Chain Management or similar. You have at least 5 years of experience within demand planning, forecasting, MRP, Inventory Management and S&OP. If you don’t have managerial experience, you have the ambition to become a Manager. You are fluent in Danish and English and have a great understanding of the operational cost drivers which affect the financial contribution of the site. You are resilient with an ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines and have proven analytical skills and the ability to influence.
