Job summary

SimCorp is seeking a Student Software Engineer to join our Portfolio Analysis team. This part-time role averages 20 hours per week with flexible hours during exams. You will work closely with your team to develop and improve tools and APIs, focusing on API work and test suite optimization.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field (BSc/MSc).
  • Experience with C#/.NET or any OO language is desirable.
  • Good English skills as primary corporate language.

At Simcorp, we support some of the biggest financial institutions in the world to be successful by simplifying their investments, accounting, and operations.

Portfolio Analysis is a product area within Simcorp’s Product Division which delivers functionality that enables clients to make investment decisions with our Front Office applications. Portfolio Analysis consists of seven teams (of 5-8 software engineers) across several geographical locations, and we are now looking for a Student Software Engineer to join one of these teams. This is a part-time job with an expected average time of 20 hours per week with flexible working hours during exam periods.

We take pride in contributing to the growth of SimCorp with high quality work, but we also have a very pleasant way of working together where supporting each other is a big part of our relationship.

Employees can meet up in SimCorp’s own very popular Friday bar and students throughout the house also meet up on a regular basis in their own community.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

In your daily work you will - together with your team: Take part in continuous improvements of tools and processes on team and individual level. Understand requirements, discuss solutions, implement, and test the chose solutions. Most of the development is done in C#. While we have a broad range of tasks and experiments, a lot of focus is on APIs as well as on optimizing our test suite.
