We are looking for a student assistant to help us run SPARKLE, a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network coordinated by DTU Physics and funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe.
SPARKLE - "Advancing Polaritonics and Quantum Technology by Modifying Material Functionalities with Classical and Quantum Light" - brings together 14 PhD students and partner institutions across 8 European countries. You will help us keep the network connected, visible and well organised. Visit our website www.sparkle-dn.eu .
As our student assistant, you will work closely with the network coordinator and the project management team and become an important part of the daily running of the network. You will help keep partners, PhD students and the wider public informed about what happens in SPARKLE, and make sure that the scientific achievements of the network are documented and visible.

We are looking for a proactive student who enjoys communication and working in an international environment. You like to work independently, you can keep track of many tasks and deadlines at the same time, and you are comfortable being in contact with researchers from many different countries.

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have experience with science communication, content creation (graphics, photo or video editing), website editing or event planning. A background in physics or another natural science or engineering field will help you understand the research in the network, but we welcome applications from students of all fields.
We offer a varied and flexible student job in an international research environment, where you will gain hands-on experience with science communication and with the management of a large EU-funded research project. You will work closely with researchers at DTU Physics and get to know a European network of universities, research institutes and companies.

The appointment will be based on the multi-union collective agreement for the Organisations of Public Employees—Denmark (State) (OAO-S) and the trade union agreement for clerical staff etc. (HK/State).
Working hours are on average 10 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is 15 November 2026 (or according to mutual agreement). The employment runs as long as you are an active student.
