Job summary

Gentoo Media is seeking a Student Assistant Copywriter to write original, engaging Danish-language content for our Danish audience. You’ll research, draft and refine copy guided by SEO briefs and editorial direction from the team.

You’ll also localise English content for Danish readers, support on-page SEO tasks, and assist with research, image sourcing, or formatting as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s programme
• Interest in iGaming, online casinos or digital marketing is a plus

The role

The Student Assistant Copywriter will write original, engaging Danish-language content for our online casino affiliate site. You'll research, draft and refine copy that helps real readers make informed choices, supported by SEO briefs and editorial guidance from the team.

What you'll be doing

• Write original casino reviews, bonus guides and informational pages in Danish from scratch, using your own voice and judgment. AI tools can support your workflow, but the thinking, structure and final copy need to be yours

• Research operator details (bonuses, payment methods, game selections) from live casino sites to keep content accurate and current

• Localise and adapt English-language content for a Danish audience, ensuring natural tone and cultural relevance

• Assist with on-page SEO tasks: meta titles, descriptions, internal linking, heading structure

• Support the content team with ad hoc research, image sourcing or content formatting as needed

Who we're looking for

Education / Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant bachelor's or master's programme (communications, journalism, marketing, Danish/Nordic studies or similar)

Experience:

• No prior professional experience required. Interest in iGaming, online casinos or digital marketing is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Fluent Danish writing skills with a strong feel for tone, readability and audience
• Fluent in English as the day-to-day working language (briefs, meetings, internal comms are all in English)
• Comfortable working in a CMS (training provided)
• Basic understanding of SEO principles is a plus but not required
• Detail-oriented with good research habits

Soft Skills

• Curious and self-driven: you dig into a topic rather than stopping at the surface
• Takes feedback well and iterates quickly. Content goes through rounds, that's the process and not the problem
• Organised enough to juggle multiple briefs and deadlines without things falling through
• Comfortable asking questions. We'd rather you check than guess
