Job summary

Maersk Tankers in Denmark is seeking a Student Assistant in Treasury to learn and support daily treasury operations. You will report to the Head of Treasury and work as part of a three-member Treasury team, gaining insight into cash management, FX reporting, and Know-Your-Customer processes.

The role is ideal for a student in Economics or Finance who is detail-oriented, independent, and fluent in English, with a willingness to learn and contribute both individually and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Currently studying Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Interest in Corporate Treasury and willingness to learn treasury operations.
• Pays attention to detail, takes ownership of tasks, and works well independently or in a team.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily cash reconciliation.
• Assist with general daily cash management.
• Report FX trades in the Treasury Management System.
• Support with Mark-To-Market reporting.
• Assist with updating bank signatories.
• Support Know-Your-Customer processes with banking partners.
• Assist with monthly Impero controls to ensure compliance.

In Treasury, you will join a team of talented and welcoming colleagues.

The Treasury Department has principal responsibility for cash management, foreign currency exchange and interest rate risk management and maintaining financing for Maersk Tankers. The team consists of three full-time members; the Head of Treasury, a Treasury Manager position, a Treasury Analyst position, and this Student Assistant position.

As Student Assistant in Treasury, you will learn about a broad variety of Treasury activities, and you will assist with the daily Treasury operations. You will report to the Head of Treasury.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support with daily cash reconciliation
• Assist with general daily cash management
• Report FX trades in our Treasury Management System
• Support with Mark-To-Market reporting
• Assist with updating bank signatories
• Support with Know-Your-Customer processes with banking partners
• Assist with monthly Impero controls to ensure compliance
