Our Business Development & Portfolio Management area has an ambitious strategy and we are looking for someone with a generic-pharma mindset or experience to drive the transformation and make sure we execute according to our plans, roadmaps and business goals within the area and along the value chain

About the job

This role is best suited for someone who knows how a generic pharma business operates. Compared with an originator company, we work with a broad portfolio, lean teams and short decision paths, and value comes from pragmatic, commercially minded execution.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Drive the transformation in the Business Development & Portfolio Management area from process changes to new ways of working
  • Identify program impacts and design adoption measures together with functional leads
  • Track adoption and take corrective action when change is not landing as planned
  • Own the communication plan that keeps the organization informed and engaged
  • Own the strategy execution roadmap for the Business Development & Portfolio Management area, ensuring alignment with Orifarm’s overall strategy and business goals
  • Translate priorities into concrete program briefs, project charters, milestones and benefit maps
  • Follow up on progress against plans and goals – with a single, transparent view of status, risks, dependencies and benefit realization
  • Drive cross-functional coordination along the value chain – Portfolio, Regulatory Affairs, Business Development, Commercial and Operations – and ensure timely resolution of blockers
  • Run the governance rhythm: program boards, track reviews and reporting to the Executive Management Group

You will report directly to our Chief Business Development & Portfolio Strategy Officer. You will present strategy updates and projects to our Executive Management Group and hold an explicit mandate to drive execution across the organization.

Who are you

We are looking for someone with significant experience driving transformations or programs in complex organizations, and a track record of making sure plans are executed and business goals are delivered.

Additionally, you will need to have experience from a generic or off-patent pharma business - across areas such as portfolio, business development, regulatory or commercial operations and you know how it differs from an originator company: broad portfolios, lean organizations, tight margins and pragmatic decision-making. Experience from a comparable commercial healthcare environment is also relevant.

You communicate clearly with executives, build alignment across functions, markets and cultures, and are comfortable challenging when progress stalls. You also ensure the right level of structure and governance for a regulated environment without building heavier processes than the business needs

Lastly, you have strong analytical skills, hold complexity across several concurrent workstreams and master program management methods and tools. A certification such as PRINCE2, MSP or PMI-PgMP is an advantage.

Who are we?

The Business Development & Portfolio Management area covers Portfolio Strategy, Business Development, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance. You will partner closely with Strategy, the Strategy & PPMO Office, People & Culture and other corporate functions.

What we offer
  • A role at the center of strategic decision-making, with direct access to the C-level and the Executive Management Group
  • A clear mandate to drive execution across the organization
  • An entrepreneurial culture that celebrates can-do attitudes, smarts and hearts, and a strong feedback culture that supports your development
  • Flexibility and a strong commitment to work-life balance in an international setting with opportunities for growth
  • A bonus scheme that includes every employee when we have good results
  • A great canteen, massage service at our Odense office and social events throughout the year
