Job summary

ABB is seeking a Procurement Project Specialist to join its Supply Chain Management team in Skien, Norway. The role focuses on executing procurement activities across diverse categories, interfacing with Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Suppliers to ensure on-time sourcing, cost efficiency, and material availability throughout project lifecycles.

The candidate will work with ERP systems (SAP) and IBP planning tools, and collaborate with international teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
2–3 years of procurement, supply chain, or project support experience.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Familiarity with planning tools such as IBP (Integrated Business Planning).
Strong English language skills; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

Project Procurement Execution: SCM point of contact for project procurement activities across defined categories (Steel, Plastics, Electronics, Non-Ferrous materials, and others).
Supplier Coordination & Sourcing Support: Cooperate with Category Managers in identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as SCM interface with Sales, Engineering, Technical Centers, and Quality teams.
Participate in project meetings and follow up on procurement-related actions.
Support coordination with international teams and regional operations.
