Job summary

Story House Egmont in Copenhagen seeks an ambitious economist to act as a trusted business sparring partner for management. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting and business case analyses, partnering with the Danish Finance Manager and the finance team.

You are a strong communicator, excel user and capable of translating strategic data into actionable decisions. The role sits at HQ, offering competitive terms and growth opportunities within a long-term, investment-oriented

Qualifications

• Hold a Master’s degree in economics or finance and several years of experience in business analysis, budgeting, business cases, and ad hoc projects.
• Experience as a Business Controller, Business Partner, or Business Analyst in a medium to large dynamic enterprise.
• Strong in business sparring, numbers, data processing and IT; able to translate strategic information into actionable directions.
• Fluent in English and proficient in Excel; experience with AI tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan budgeting cycles and lead forecasting processes.
• Own management reporting and month-end closing inputs.
• Develop business cases and conduct ad hoc analyses for decision-makers.
• Stress-test ideas, challenge managers and maintain stakeholder relationships.
