Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Bagsværd, Denmark, seeks a Senior Director, Strategic Finance to lead the team behind the financial case for major Business Development and strategic projects. You’ll drive due diligence, valuation and finance integration of R&D acquisitions, delivering decision-ready insight to the CFO and Deal Group.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and developing a high-performing team.
• Track record in financial due diligence and transaction evaluation.
• Experience leading finance integration after acquisitions, coordinating finance functions and transitioning into established processes.
• Strong understanding of FP&A, ERP, accounting and tax processes, and the ability to combine accounting, tax, treasury and legal perspectives to assess transaction risks.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects in a global finance organisation with a structured execution approach.

Responsibilities

• Drive financial due diligence across acquisitions, licensing opportunities and partnerships, bringing accounting, tax, treasury and legal perspectives together.
• Provide valuation and contracting input that supports negotiations and investment decisions.
• Lead finance integration for R&D acquisitions.
• Support the CFO and Executive Management with clear, decision-ready financial analysis and business insight.
• Partner across Global Business Development, Global Finance, Finance, Legal & Global Solutions and R&D to deliver aligned recommendations and outcomes.
• Advance the use of AI in due diligence to improve the speed and quality of outputs.
