Job summary

VELUX Group seeks a Strategic Buyer for Aluminium & Metal Parts, part of Global Procurement. You will influence sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost-out initiatives across a global supplier network.

Requirements include a degree in engineering or related field, 5+ years in strategic procurement, and proficiency with SAP/Ariba and MS 365. Travel is expected 30–45 days annually in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, supply chain, economics, business administration or similar discipline.
• At least five years of experience in strategic procurement within international OEMs or complex industrial environments.
• Experience managing strategic sourcing processes, supplier negotiations, contracting, and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic procurement projects from opportunity identification through implementation and benefit realisation.
• Build and maintain a robust cost-out pipeline with milestones, ownership and value tracking.
• Manage supplier relationships and lead commercial negotiations to improve cost, quality, delivery, sustainability and risk management.
• Contribute to category strategy development and drive execution within the supplier portfolio.
• Conduct market analyses, RFIs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, contracting and implementation.

Joining an experienced international procurement team, you will play a key role in shaping and executing sourcing strategies within the Aluminium & Metal Parts category.The team works closely with colleagues across functions and geographies to ensure long-term supplier performance, supply resilience, sustainability progress, and cost competitiveness. You combine strong commercial awareness with analytical thinking and a structured approach to execution.
