Job summary

Scan Con Construction ApS is seeking Steel Fitters in Denmark to assemble, position, align and fit structural steel components for buildings, bridges, ships, and heavy machinery. You will interpret blueprints, measure layouts, operate shop machinery, and ensure components meet specifications and safety standards.

Experience with tack welding and oxy-acetylene cutting is a plus; strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

Experience interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
Ability to read technical drawings and material lists.
Familiarity with metal fabrication techniques and shop machinery.

Responsibilities

Blueprint Interpretation: Study drawings and material lists to plan tasks and material needs.
Layout and Fabrication: Mark reference points and patterns on heavy metal for cutting, bending, and forming.
Assembly and Fitting: Assemble, align, and fit metal sections using tack welding, bolting, or riveting.
Machine Operation: Operate cranes, shearers, brake presses, grinders, drills, and cutting torches.
Quality Inspection: Inspect components to ensure they meet specifications and safety standards.
Positioning and Installation: Position parts in jigs and ensure precise fits using grinders or files.
