Deel is hiring a Staff Engineer for the US Payroll team to provide technical leadership and architectural direction across the engineering organization. You will partner with the Director of Engineering to shape architecture and drive engineering excellence, enabling growth for enterprise clients and the EOR/PEO community.

You will mentor senior engineers, establish high standards, and help scale the platform while bridging engineering with leadership to align technical strategy with business

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in fast-growing organizations.
• Track record of technical leadership across multiple teams.
• Strong system design and architecture skills, with processes for scale.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal technical advisor and architect for critical initiatives.
• Drive technical decision-making and architecture reviews to balance delivery with long-term health.
