Qualifications

  • Practical experience investigating inventory variances, stock losses, cash issues, fraud, or discount misuse.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills, including root cause analyses.
  • Experience developing SOPs, controls, and process documentation.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate with senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI/reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain SOPs, control frameworks, and guidelines.

  • Support continuous improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
  • Contribute to implementing new systems, tools, and processes.
  • Produce reporting on inventory, shrink, cash, fraud, discounts, and compliance.

About the Role

As Specialist, Retail Operations – Inventory Process & Control Excellence, you will help strengthen inventory accuracy, operational compliance, and loss prevention across Pandora. You will investigate inventory, cash, fraud, refund, and discount-related discrepancies, identify trends and risks, and recommend corrective and preventative actions.

Working across functions and markets, you will turn data and investigation findings into stronger controls, improved procedures, and actionable insights. You will also present your findings and recommendations to operational teams and senior leadership, making strong communication and presentation skills essential to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory accuracy, stock integrity, and compliance across O&O markets.
  • Analyse inventory adjustments, exception reports, stocktake results, and cycle count variances.
  • Partner with markets to resolve inventory issues, improve stock accuracy, and strengthen governance standards and controls.
  • Investigate significant inventory discrepancies, shrink, reconciliation issues, cash discrepancies, fraud, refund abuse, suspicious transactions, and discount misuse.
  • Identify patterns, operational risks, control gaps, and potential policy violations.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and recommend practical corrective and preventative actions.
  • Track remediation plans and support audit and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, Retail Operations, and Global Physical Security on investigations and follow-up actions.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, control frameworks, and operational guidelines.
  • Translate investigation findings into stronger processes and preventative controls.
  • Support continuous improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new systems, tools, and operational processes.
  • Produce reporting on inventory, shrink, cash, fraud, discounts, and compliance.
  • Develop dashboards and presentations that highlight trends, risks, and performance opportunities.
  • Communicate complex findings clearly and present evidence-based recommendations to operational stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Partner with Retail Operations, Finance, Internal Audit, Supply Chain, HR, Global Physical Security, and Digital & Technology.
  • Support global initiatives focused on inventory, controls, fraud prevention, and operational excellence.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on inventory controls and investigations, sharing insights and best practices across markets and functions.

What is needed to succeed

  • 3-6 years of experience in retail operations, inventory management, loss prevention, audit, financial controls, fraud prevention, or a related area.
  • Practical experience investigating inventory variances, stock losses, cash issues, fraud, or discount misuse.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills, including experience with root cause analysis.
  • Experience developing SOPs, controls, and process documentation.
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence communicating with large groups and senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using reporting or BI tools.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, data-driven approach and the ability to translate complex issues into practical solutions.
  • Experience working across multiple markets or in a global organization is preferred.
