Job summary

IFF is seeking an Regulatory Affairs professional to help bring innovative food ingredient solutions to market across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will work with internal teams, customers and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and successful commercialization in a truly international environment.

Qualifications

  • Master of Sciences in chemistry, food chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in regulatory affairs preferably within a multinational food ingredients company.
  • Solid understanding of EU food legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with regulatory submissions to EFSA and interactions with regulatory authorities.
  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts in a clear and practical manner.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Manage regulatory compliance activities within assigned product portfolios and support regional regulatory strategies.
  • Provide regulatory guidance to internal stakeholders, and customers on topics such as ingredient approvals, labelling, claims, and market access requirements.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory dossiers, and interact with regulatory authorities, including EFSA and the European Commission.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable food legislation and maintain product authorizations across the EMEA region.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments and translate complex legislative requirements into practical business guidance.
  • Assess regulatory risks and identify opportunities to support business growth and innovation.
  • Partner with commercial, technical, quality, and marketing teams to support product launches, customer projects, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead and contribute to regulatory projects in collaboration with regional and global colleagues.

Join our EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Regulatory Affairs team and play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting the successful commercialization of food ingredients across the region. You will work closely with colleagues, customers, industry associations, and regulatory authorities to help shape the future of food. We offer a challenging and rewarding role in a collaborative team of eight regulatory professionals, where you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, influence business decisions, and develop both professionally and personally in a truly international environment.

For your awareness, IFF has announced its intention to sell its Food Ingedients business to CVC Capital Partners. The sale is presently expected to close in the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. The Food Ingredients business unit will remain a part of IFF until close and, at such time, it will transition to CVC Capital Partners.
