Jobbeschreibung

Do you enjoy turning complex regulatory requirements into practical solutions? Can you translate requirements into processes that work across functions, business units and suppliers? Are you motivated by helping an international organisation strengthen its approach to product compliance as requirements continue to evolve?

At STARK Group, we are continuously strengthening our approach to product compliance, and we are therefore expanding our team.

Product compliance is part of the Sustainable Sourcing team in Group Sourcing. In this role, you will report to the Director of Sustainable Sourcing and join a small team with expertise in product compliance, EUDR, supplier due diligence and Scope 3 emissions.

Your Role

As Specialist, Product Compliance, you will translate regulatory requirements and customer expectations for product documentation into practical business processes and support their effective implementation across the organisation. You will help develop and improve the processes and tools needed to make product compliance scalable and workable in daily business activities.

You will monitor and assess new and emerging product compliance obligations, interpret their impact on the business and translate them into practical procedures, guidance, templates and controls. You will support implementation across Group and business units and help stakeholders understand both their responsibilities and how to execute them.

As a subject matter expert, you will advise colleagues on documentation requirements, certifications, declarations and other product-related obligations. You will develop training materials, support capability building within sourcing teams and work with internal and external stakeholders to embed effective ways of working.

For Own Brand projects, you will conduct risk assessments, ensure appropriate documentation is in place and engage the relevant internal and external stakeholders.

You may also support third-party certification activities and other compliance initiatives as business needs and regulatory obligations evolve.

You will take ownership of improvement initiatives while remaining close to the operational activities that make product compliance work in practice. This includes collecting and validating information, following up with stakeholders, reviewing documentation and keeping relevant data up to date. You approach these tasks with attention to detail, sound judgement and a pragmatic focus on progress.

As the Product Compliance function develops, the scope of the role will expand to reflect new regulatory obligations, business needs and more mature ways of working. This will provide opportunities to shape new processes, tools and approaches across the organisation.

We expect you to bring
  • A relevant educational background in engineering, product compliance, regulatory affairs, environmental science, business, supply chain management or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in product compliance, product regulatory affairs, product stewardship or a similar field.
  • Experience implementing product compliance requirements in a cross-functional and commercial organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical requirements to non-specialists.
  • A proactive, structured and implementation-focused approach, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a practical and business-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
It would be an advantage if you have
  • Experience from a retailer, distributor, builders' merchant, manufacturer or another product-focused business environment.
  • Danish language skills.
  • Experience working with own brand products or third-party certifications.
Why join us?

This role offers the opportunity to apply your product compliance expertise across a broad and diverse product portfolio in an international organisation. From insulation, plasterboard, doors and windows to workwear, adhesives, sealants, paint and timber, you will gain experience across both leading branded products and our Own Brand products.

You will work at the intersection of regulation, sourcing, suppliers and business operations, helping to develop solutions that protect market access and support reliable product documentation.

Product compliance is a team effort, and success in this specialist role depends on strong teamwork and close collaboration across the organisation. You will work with sourcing, product compliance and sustainability colleagues across our business units and Group functions, and partner closely with category managers, Sourcing Excellence and the Own Brand team within Group Sourcing. Externally, you will collaborate with suppliers and third-party certification organisations to support effective implementation and continuous improvement.

You will join a collaborative specialist team and have meaningful influence on how STARK Group develops its product compliance processes, tools and capabilities. The role combines professional depth, practical implementation, stakeholder engagement and opportunities to grow alongside an evolving Product Compliance function.

The role can be based at the STARK Group Head Office in Frederiksberg or STARK Huset in Viby J.

You will report directly to Rikke Gade Christensen, Director, Sustainable Sourcing. If you have questions, please feel welcome to contact her at rikke.christensen@starksourcing.com.

We are also hiring an Associate Specialist for product compliance within Sustainable Sourcing. If this opportunity interests you, please take a look at the other role to see which best matches your skills and interests.
