On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Software QA Test Engineer for a full-time assignment on-site Greater Copenhagen

The job

You will become a part of a small dedicated team, where you will take charge of test and verification of the low power chipset.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Test Automation & Framework Development:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks tailored for embedded systems.
• Automate regression testing suites to ensure continuous integration and deployment pipelines run efficiently.
• Integrate hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing setups to simulate real-world physical conditions.

Manual & Exploratory Testing:

• Perform hands‑on manual testing for edge cases, initial hardware bring‑up, and exploratory scenarios where automation is not viable.
• Conduct detailed physical verification.
• Analyze complex system behaviors to uncover subtle bugs in timing, memory allocation, and hardware interrupts.

Embedded Software & Scripting

• Utilize Python to develop robust test scripts, parse data logs, and automate communication protocols.
• Analyze, debug, and trace source code written in C++ to pinpoint the root causes of firmware failures.
• Develop specialized test code or stubs in C++ to isolate specific software components during validation.
• Validate low‑power modes, sleep states, and wake‑up triggers to ensure compliance with strict energy budgets.
• Perform continuous current‑consumption profiling across various operational profiles and environmental conditions.
• Identify and report software routines that cause unexpected battery drain or power spikes.
• Document test plans, test cases, and comprehensive execution reports in alignment with industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with firmware developers, hardware engineers, and product owners to resolve issues early in the lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to provide a quality‑centric perspective.

Qualifications we are looking for

• Fluently in Danish & English (both written and spoken)

It is a plus if you have experience working as a Scrum Master.
