About The Role
As a Software Quality Assurance Specialist at Vitrolife, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our IVF-related software products, which integrate closely with advanced hardware. You will take ownership of manual verification and validation activities, working hands-on with complex systems to confirm compliance with both product requirements and regulatory standards. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will identify issues early, produce clear documentation, and contribute to continuous process improvements. Your impact
- Perform manual verification and validation of software in medical devices and stand-alone software products for IVF-related applications.
- Read, understand and derive test cases from requirements specifications.
- Identify opportunities for test automation together with our software test automation engineer and develop automated tests when needed.
- Ensure quality and compliance of complex medical device software across the entire lifecycle - starting with clear requirements, followed by thorough test planning, execution, and comprehensive documentation. Quality assurance is embedded from the very beginning, ensuring each phase supports regulatory and product standards.
- Identify and report defects, working closely with developers, product owners, and UX designers.
- Mentor and guide team members in best quality assurance practices.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of software quality assurance experience, preferably with hardware integration; experience in medical/laboratory software is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing, creating and executing test cases, and defect tracking.
- Interest in test automation; experience with Gherkin or TestComplete is a bonus.
- Interest in responsible application of AI solutions to automate parts of testing.
- Familiarity with Jira test management tools (e.g. Xray).
- Experience in regulated environments (such as medical or financial sectors) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English; Danish proficiency is a plus
