Job summary

BEUMER Group invites an aspiring software engineer to join the Software Products Department as an intern, helping develop software solutions for airport and logistics customers worldwide. You will engage in the full software development lifecycle within a cross-functional team, gaining hands-on experience with Unity, frontend/back-end tech, CI/CD, and cloud-native tools.

A dedicated mentor supports your start and ongoing growth, with a paid internship lasting about five months and potential

Qualifications

• Current student in Computer Science/Software Engineering or related field.
• Interest in cloud-native software, CI/CD and modern UI/UX stacks.
• Willingness to learn, collaborate in cross-functional teams, and contribute across the full software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop software across the full lifecycle within a cross-functional team.
• Create 3D visualizations using Unity for baggage handling systems.
• Support CI/CD implementation with automated tests for frontend and backend.
• Build platform services (logging, communications) as a Platform as a Product.
• Develop microservices for baggage handling software.
• Frontend work with Angular, TypeScript and HTML5.
• Backend work with Java, C#, .NET 8+ and gRPC.
• Explore cloud-native tools (GitLab, Docker, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes).
• Leverage AI tools like GitHub Copilot during development.
