Job summary

Danske Bank is seeking a Software Engineering Chapter Lead to modernize solutions in Risk and XVA. You will lead a chapter of experienced engineers while staying technically involved in development, shaping both technology and careers in a collaborative, distributed environment.

You will work with Market Risk Modelling or CCR & XVA Modelling teams across locations to deliver secure, scalable software using .NET/C#, OpenShift, AWS, and SQL databases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in cloud application development.
• 1+ years of people leadership experience.
• Strong product mindset with focus on quality, automation, and security.
• Confidence to take technical ownership and explain trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Collaborative, servant leadership mindset with genuine interest in coaching engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a chapter of software engineers through coaching and career development.
• Build a collaborative engineering culture with product owners and architects.
• Champion engineering approaches through mentoring, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Work with product owners and architects to deliver maintainable solutions.
• Take ownership across the full product lifecycle from development to deployment.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives and AI-powered tools.
