Job summary

John Sisk & Son in Denmark is seeking a Site Manager to lead on-site operations, drive safety standards and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of construction works. You will manage multi-level site teams, coordinate activities with the Operations Manager, and uphold quality and compliance across projects.

The role requires substantial site management experience, strong leadership, and a solid grasp of BIM and safety practices within complex builds.

Qualifications

  • Trade or technical background with substantial site management experience.
  • IOSH or equivalent health and safety management training.
  • Temporary works and excavation safety training.
  • Working at heights and scaffolding training.
  • Lifting and cranage operations training.
  • Understanding of BIM strategy and new construction technology.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day construction activities on site to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
  • Supervise Site Agents, General Site Supervisors and Section Site Supervisors, providing leadership and direction on all operational matters
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental and quality standards in line with company procedures
  • Plan and coordinate the sequence of activities on site, liaising with the Operations Manager and Senior Site Manager to maintain programme objectives
  • Monitor progress and performance of sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with contract requirements and project standards
  • Maintain comprehensive site records including Temporary Works Registers, daily diaries, quality documentation and HSEQS logs
  • Identify operational risks and escalate as required to Operations Manager or Senior Site Manager
  • Lead site briefings, toolbox talks and coordination meetings to communicate priorities, tasks and safety requirements
  • Assist in cost control by supporting the site and project teams in efficient use of resources and materials
  • Mentor and develop junior site staff to build capability and maintain a high-performance culture

We have an opportunity for Site Manger to join our hiring managers in Denmark.

The Site Manageris responsible for managing and coordinating site operations on assigned projects under the direction of the Operations Manager. Ensures safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of construction works, maintaining quality and compliance with all HSEQS standards. Leads site teams including Site Agents, General Site Supervisors, Section Site Supervisors and Assistant Site Supervisors to achieve project objectives.

Experience
  • Proven experience in site management across medium to large-scale projects
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise multi-level site teams
  • Knowledge of subcontractor management and industrial relations
  • Ability to make informed decisions under pressure to maintain programme and operational performance
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, trade requirements and codes of practice
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, monitor and prioritise site activities
  • Effective communication skills to engage with colleagues, sub-contractors and project teams
  • Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality management practices
Qualifications

Required

  • Trade or technical background with substantial site management experience
  • IOSH or equivalent health and safety management training
  • Temporary works and excavation safety training
  • Working at heights and scaffolding training
  • Lifting and cranage operations training
  • Other HSEQS training as required by site HSE plan
  • Understanding of BIM strategy and new construction technology

Desirable

  • Completion of Sisk internal management programme
  • Project management qualification or course
  • Relevant degree in construction or engineering
