Your New Role

As Manager for our Shipping & Customer service team you will lead and develop a team of currently 3 dedicated employees.

You will be expected to provide day-to-day professional sparring about shipping & customs matters to the employees, but also to the wider business.

This role has focus on operation where you will balance participation in the daily operational tasks such as order management, managing of global shipments and people management. Operational tasks are expected to be the main activity driver in this role.

Continuous improvement is key for us, and you will drive improvement of our processes and with the team identify optimization and standardization opportunities to ensure our processes are scalable.

You will interact with many different stakeholders both externally and internally, hence strong stakeholder management and communication skills are a must for success.

Your Primary Tasks Will Be

  • Leading and developing the Shipping & Customer Service team
  • Optimize logistic processes both for samples and final goods shipments
  • Participate in the daily operation, order management and shipping of goods
  • Support implementation of new customers and products, ensuring the team can execute the logistics setup around samples and final goods
  • Optimize and support import procedures
  • Trade Compliance in relation to import and export and support of ongoing global development of Trade Compliance program
  • Establish and review performance of our freight forwarders


Skills & Knowledge, We Hope You Possess

  • Proven leadership abilities to manage and advance a team
  • Extensive understanding and experience with Shipping and Customer Service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Having worked with SAP especially within the Sell & Deliver module is an advantage
  • Previous experience with Trade Compliance is an advantage
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or similar
  • UpToDate knowledge of common customs rules and regulations, and experience with GDP/GMP
  • Knowledge about Shipping Qualifications is an advantage

About The Team

Shipping & Customer Service is the entry point for all customer orders and in close cooperation with our customers, the team coordinates final products are shipped in due time. The team has among other tasks the responsibility of shipping samples (ambient/cold chain) to global destinations to various Contract Laboratories, Customers and Fujifilm Biotechnologies Sites.

Shipping & Customer Service is organizationally anchored in Supply Chain Operations together with Supply Planning and Direct Procurement.
