Job summary

Arla Foods amba in Aarhus is seeking a Sensory Panel Lead to drive sensory insights within the Product Intelligence team. This one-year maternity-cover role is based at our Innovation Centre in Skejby and reports to the Head of Sensory Science.

You will guide test setups, train and develop the sensory panel, and report findings with robust statistical analyses, while collaborating across markets to deliver consumer-ready product innovations.

Qualifications

• Background in applied sensory of food, flavor or ingredients.
• Experience with sensory methodologies and trained panel.
• Basic statistical knowledge, including uni- and multivariate analyses.

Then join our Aarhus team “Product Intelligence” as Sensory Panel Lead and boost your career in a dynamic and global FMCG company. In this challenging job, you will be based at our Innovation Centre in Skejby (Aarhus) and you will report to the Head of Sensory Science.

This is a one year maternity cover with expected start date November 16th or as soon as possible thereafter.

The Product Intelligence team strives to enable business growth by working across and beyond traditional product categories to design innovative product solutions. As part of our team, you will be applying sensory methodologies to develop insights that helps us meet modern consumer needs. Additionally, you will understand how we create sensory and consumer product insights across different markets.

How you will make an impact

In this job, you will have a unique opportunity to develop your skills in sensory science in a well-functioning, dynamic and diverse team of sensory and consumer scientists. You will take part in development projects, supporting with sensory results, translating the challenges into research questions and applying the right methods to answer. You will also be responsible for reporting the results of the panel work and panel performance. We use best in class sensory methods, but the results depends on you, coaching the sensory panel to perform.

You will step into a busy team, as one of 3 panel leads in Aarhus, one of 6 globally, and contribute with sensory expertise and knowledge to help us ensure consumer success in product innovation and renovation. You will get a broad network within the innovation community of Arla and have a chance to see cross functional work at its best, understanding the many roles needed to create tasty, safe and sustainable products.

What will make you successful

We hope you come with a background within applied sensory of food, flavor, or ingredients conducting sensory analyses with a trained panel. You have worked with a broad range of Sensory Methodologies and have basic statistical knowledge, uni- and multivariate analyses.

You have a natural interest or knowledge of food science and product quality. Knowledge of the use of Compusense and XLSTAT is a benefit. Finally, speaking and writing Danish is important since you will be working with a Danish panel.
