Senior Technology Manager (Technology Partnerships & Ecosystem)
As Senior Technology Manager, you will help drive RTX’s long‑term technology leadership by identifying, shaping, and maturing strategic technologies that strengthen our competitive position. In close partnership with the CTO, you will define and evolve our technology strategy and multi‑year roadmap, bridging strategic ambition and technical execution to turn emerging technologies into scalable assets and sustainable business value. A key part of the role is external engagement—building strategic partnerships and leveraging the broader technology ecosystem to accelerate innovation and ensure RTX stays aligned with leading industry developments.
Responsibilities
- Co‑own and continuously evolve RTX’s long‑term technology strategy and multi‑year roadmap in alignment with business and market ambitions.
- Lead strategic technology scouting and structured innovation initiatives to identify and mature next‑generation technologies.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with technology leaders, customers, suppliers, research institutions, and industry networks to expand RTX’s innovation ecosystem.
- Establish and maintain a high‑impact innovation funnel, ensuring systematic progression from exploration to validated technology assets.
- Evaluate and prioritize technology investments and make‑or‑buy decisions based on business impact, scalability, and strategic fit.
- Strengthen RTX’s intellectual property position by identifying, developing, and supporting patentable innovations and related technology assets.
Qualifications
- Solid experience in technology management and strategic innovation in complex, tech‑driven environments.
- Open‑mindedness, a long‑term perspective, and experience with technology scouting activities.
- Lead technology scouting and innovation initiatives to identify and develop next‑generation technologies.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with industry leaders, customers, suppliers, and research institutions.
- Establish a high‑impact innovation funnel, ensuring systematic progression from exploration to validated assets.
- Evaluate and prioritize technology investments and make‑or‑buy decisions based on strategic fit.
- Strengthen RTX’s intellectual property by supporting patentable innovations and related assets.
Place of work: Headquarters, Nørresundby, Denmark. Travel: 10‑20 days per year.
