Job summary

BeGreen in Denmark is seeking a commercially driven Senior Sourcing Specialist with a strong renewables background to lead sourcing activities and commercial contracting across solar, hybrid, and energy storage projects.

You will own sourcing strategies, engage suppliers, and manage contract execution across the full project lifecycle, collaborating with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Sustainability, Cyber Security, HSE, and Legal to maximize value and reduce risks.

Qualifications

• Direct sourcing or commercial experience in solar, BESS, hybrid energy, wind or other renewable technologies.
• Familiarity with key renewable energy suppliers, EPC contractors, and technology providers.
• Understanding of commercial and technical dynamics of utility-scale renewable projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end competitive tenders for major renewable energy packages, including planning, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies specifically tailored to solar parks, hybrid plants, and battery energy storage systems
• Leverage renewables market knowledge to drive supplier assessments, benchmark pricing, and identify strategic sourcing opportunities
• Lead commercial negotiations with energy suppliers and contractors, with a strong focus on risk management and contract robustness
• Manage complex, high-value sourcing processes and agile lower-value purchasing activities (RFQs, call-offs, POs)
• Prepare decision-making materials, including total cost of ownership analyses with a clear understanding of energy project cost structures
• Support early contract management, including supplier onboarding, performance tracking, and risk assessments
• Contribute market intelligence on renewable energy supply chains to strengthen category strategies and long-term supplier partnerships

We are looking for a commercially driven Senior Sourcing Specialist with a strong background in renewables to lead sourcing activities and commercial contracting across solar, hybrid, and energy storage projects based in Denmark, with exposure to international suppliers and projects.

This position is ideal for someone who understands the unique sourcing and commercial challenges of renewable energy, whether in solar, BESS, or hybrid technologies—and who knows that the right supplier relationships and contracts are what make or break a project. Broader experience in energy infrastructure, construction, or adjacent industries is equally welcome, and will add valuable perspective to our team.

About the role

You will take ownership of sourcing strategies, supplier engagement, and contract execution across the full renewable energy project lifecycle. Working closely with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Sustainability, Cyber Security, HSE, and Legal, you will ensure that commercial decisions drive project performance and long-term value.

Your hands-on knowledge of the renewables market—its key suppliers, technology trends, cost drivers, and contractual complexities—will be a distinct advantage in this role. Whether you're navigating a large EPC tender for a solar park, structuring a BESS supply agreement, or evaluating a new contractor in an emerging market, your sector insight will be central to how you work.

Beyond large and complex tenders, you will also support pragmatic sourcing for lower-value purchases, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and speed without compromising quality or governance.

What you bring

We are looking for someone with a solid commercial background, and we particularly value:

• Direct sourcing or commercial experience in solar, BESS, hybrid energy, wind or other renewable technologies
• Familiarity with key renewable energy suppliers, EPC contractors, and technology providers
• Understanding of the commercial and technical dynamics specific to utility-scale renewable projects

Broader energy & infrastructure experience (also highly valued):

• Experience in conventional energy, oil & gas, transmission, or large-scale infrastructure procurement
• Background in complex project environments with multi-stakeholder commercial interfaces
• Exposure to long‑term contracts, framework agreements, and supplier performance management

In addition, you bring:

• Confidence in leading negotiations and managing commercial interfaces
• A structured, proactive, and ownership‑driven approach to work
• Strong stakeholder management and clear communication skills
• Knowledge of EU procurement regulations (Utilities Directive) or the motivation to build it
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Danish or Swedish is a plus
• Relocation packages are not available for this role and a valid Danish work- and residence permit is a precondition
