Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Core Experiences team in Aarhus, Denmark. You will help design and maintain foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify's product experience across platforms.

This role emphasizes end-to-end system thinking, simple APIs, and scalable infrastructure. You will collaborate with product teams to scope and ship features, optimize performance, and deliver efficient backend services using Kotlin.

Qualifications

• Must think in terms of end-to-end design and simple, reliable APIs.
• Able to move fast and decide what ships now and what needs more time.
• Thrives in a fast-growing startup with remote collaboration.
• Collaborates with designers, marketers, and PMs to achieve shared goals.
• Preferred tech: Kotlin Multiplatform; experience with GCP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and reduce scope for faster feedback.
• Design efficient abstractions to improve loading times and parsing accuracy.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and Kotlin-based jobs.
