Job summary

Formalize is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own end-to-end feature delivery across our Connect Team. You will be a senior technical sparring partner, provide code‑review feedback, and help troubleshoot complex issues. Collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Design will shape implementations and proactively resolve debt in integration logic.

You will mentor teammates, onboard new engineers, and contribute to building innovative business solutions in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in a Software Engineering role, designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable systems end-to-end.
• Experience in at least one layer of our stack (PHP and Angular) and general software architecture knowledge.
• Experience in product development with focus on quality and delivering features that move the product forward.
• Good engineering practices for testing, deployment, and observability.
• Ability to communicate trade-offs clearly and contribute to technical discovery.
• Ability to raise the bar for engineering quality and performance through code standards.

We build and maintain our public APIs, design complex integration patterns, and engineer event‑driven, logic‑heavy workflows for seamless data exchange. In doing so, we turn Formalize from a standalone software service into foundational compliance infrastructure, making compliance effortless across any tech stack and driving our vision to become Europe’s leading GRC platform.

What you’ll bring:

• Although we see ourselves as tech‑agnostic, you ideally bring experience in at least one layer of our technical stack (we work with PHP and Angular), as well as general software architecture and system design.
• Demonstrated senior experience in a Software Engineering role, designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable systems in production, end-to-end.
• Experience in product development with a focus on quality, balancing business needs against scope creep to build features that directly move the product forward.
• Good engineering practices for testing, deployment, & observability.
• The ability to communicate trade‑offs clearly, providing high‑level feedback to colleagues and participating effectively in technical discovery.
• The ability to raise the bar for engineering quality and performance through reference implementations and by defining ever‑evolving code standards.

• A starting salary of 62,000 DKK per month. As you grow within this role, your compensation can grow with you up to 72,000 DKK per month.
