In our **Secondary Fresh Innovation team in Aarhus**, we develop the next generation of food processing solutions—from idea and concept to prototype and industrial deployment.You will join a **highly skilled, multidisciplinary innovation team (~10–15 engineers)** working at the intersection of **software, robotics, and mechanical engineering**, driving innovation that directly impacts global food production.## ** About the Role**As a **Senior Software Engineer**, you will play a key role in designing and developing **industrial-grade embedded software systems** for advanced food processing equipment.Working closely with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers, you will contribute across the full product lifecycle—from concept development and architecture to implementation, testing, and long-term maintenance.This role is centered on **robust, high-performance, and reliable software** in complex industrial environments where quality and correctness are critical.## ** What You’ll Do****Software Development & System Ownership*** Design and implement embedded and industrial software primarily in modern C++* Develop software close to hardware, machines, and devices, ensuring optimal performance and reliability* Take end-to-end ownership of features and components—from idea and architecture to deployment and maintenance**Architecture & Technical Leadership*** Contribute to system-level thinking and software architecture decisions* Drive technical direction and best practices within the team* Ensure solutions meet performance, stability, and long-lifecycle requirements**Quality & Engineering Excellence*** Act as a quality champion, ensuring software meets industrial-grade standards* Own coding standards, reviews, and technical improvements* Deliver robust, deterministic, and maintainable software built for long-living products**Collaboration & Agile Execution*** Work in a Scrum-based environment, contributing to planning, refinement, and retrospectives* Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and systems engineers* Communicate clearly about technical trade-offs, risks, and dependencies**Mentorship & Team Development*** Act as a senior role model within the team* Support and mentor colleagues through code reviews, sparring, and feedback* Contribute to continuous improvement of both product and team ways of working## ** What You Bring**We encourage each of our 12,000+ employees to bring their unique self to work and aim to make everyone feel recognized, valued and free to explore their potential.
