Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Demant is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to strengthen the Hardware Abstraction Layer for hearing aids. You’ll work deep in the software stack, shaping Bluetooth connectivity and platform enhancements. The role emphasizes collaboration, rapid defect resolution, and continuous improvement within an agile SAFe environment.
You will contribute to a team of experienced developers and QA, with on-site work in Smørum starting Jan 1, 2027, and monthly learning days to stay on the cutting edge.
Delivering software excellence and pushing the limits of technology to make some of the world’s best hearing aids is what we do in Demant.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with broad competencies who wants to develop and strengthen our Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL).
You will be deep down the software stack in a crucial and complex part of our software eco system.
Our HAL platform connects to hearing aids, apps, fitting software and sophisticated internal tools. Seamless Bluetooth solutions and connectivity are crucial for the end-users to have great experience with our hearing aids.
We embrace agile software development and use Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and releases the HAL platform 2-4 times per year. The backlog of features and enablers are executed by priority.
The features are platform support of audiological or end user features. The enablers are typically platform improvements for the future and general internal improvements that can be either specific or of an exploratory nature.
We need everybody in the team to be on top of technology to keep on improving and providing best-in-class solutions. To support this, we have a monthly learning day for the team to acquire relevant knowledge either individually or on a team base.
We invest in and take advantage of AI, that is part of our development environment and tooling.
Part of your team consists of six Software Developers, two Test Developers, a Product Owner and a Scrum Master. They are all very experienced and enthusiastic about their jobs.
We encourage and strive for T-shaping, meaning that it is healthy that we share the responsibilities and grow mutual skills between developers and test developers.
Scrum is used as the basic way of working and encourages collaboration, sparring and sharing of thoughts and enables the best possible solutions.
It is important that you can collaborate with others and see the gain of it, rather than just working on your own. We hope that you, with your energy and enthusiasm, will contribute and encourage cooperation.
Your manager is a “servant leader” and will support your needs and development in our trust-based culture.
In Demant we trust and value professionalism, experience, and commitment. We recognize that to bring energy and inspiration to work, you need to re-energize and spend time with family, friends, and hobbies in a healthy work life balance.
To ensure the good life we offer good breakfast and lunch in our canteen, free fitness room including weekly spinning and yoga sessions, massage offer, no child’s first sick day meaning you can stay home with your child as long as the child is not feeling well and the possibility to work from home up to two days per week. Just to mention some of the things.
We expect to hold the 1st interview on the 16th and 18th of November, and the 2nd interview on the 23rd and 24th of November.
