Job summary

Minerva Imaging in Ølstykke, Denmark seeks an in vivo pharmacology scientist to design and execute preclinical oncology studies, with emphasis on targeted radionuclide therapy and radiopharmaceutical development. Qualifications

• PhD in biology, pharmacology, veterinary medicine or a related field.

• Hands-on experience with rodent animal techniques (handling, dosing, surgeries).
• 3+ years of relevant experience preferred but not required.
• EU AD diploma in laboratory animal science.
• Ability to plan, execute and report internal and external projects with scientists.

Minerva Imaging is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate in vivo pharmacology Scientist for our Small Animal Pharmacology department. The department operates as a core function designing, planning and executing preclinical in vivo studies, primarily within the field of targeted radionuclide therapy of cancer.

As a scientist in the Small Animal Pharmacology department, you will play a central role in supporting our collaborators (biotech and pharma companies) in developing radiopharmaceuticals, with a special focus on advancing cancer treatment for patients.

About the role:

As an in vivo pharmacology scientist, you will be a key member of our highly interdisciplinary project teams consisting of radiochemists, imaging scientists, animal and laboratory technicians. Your primary responsibility will be to design, plan, and execute preclinical in vivo studies, primarily in the field of oncology, ensuring proper setup and scientific output to answer our collaborators’ research questions. Your work requires a high degree of communication, coordination and aligning both internally and with our partners, why strong written and oral communication skills are key.

This position is ideal for someone who combines a solid scientific foundation in in vivo pharmacology with curiosity, initiative, and a desire to contribute in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The position:

As part of the Small Animal Pharmacology team, you will

• Plan and conduct animal studies in rodents, focusing on oncology and targeted radionuclide therapy (e.g., evaluating drug toxicity, efficacy, and biodistribution).
• Write study protocols, analyze and interpret data, and report study results.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, from technicians to collaborator representatives.
• Contribute to the development and establishment of new animal models, primarily within oncology, in collaboration with scientists and technicians.
• Actively participate in the daily work within the animal facility together with your colleagues.

Qualifications

• PhD in biology, pharmacology, veterinary medicine or a related field.
• Ideally a background within in vivo pharmacology, oncology animal models, radioactivity and/or molecular imaging techniques.
• Hands‑on experience with rodent animal techniques (e.g. handling, different dosing regimens and surgical techniques).
• 3+ years relevant experience in an academic or industrial environment is preferred but not a prerequisite.
• Diploma in laboratory animal science equivalent to EU function AD required.
• Ability to plan, execute, and report internal and external projects in collaboration with scientists.
