Job summary

Genmab seeks a Vice President, Solid Tumors to lead medical oversight across clinical programs. Based in Copenhagen as an onsite role, reporting to the Program Medical Head, you will shape clinical strategy and provide medical leadership for pivotal trials.

You will contribute to data interpretation, regulatory interactions, and medical input into regulatory documents and presentations, ensuring alignment with growth plans.

Qualifications

  • MD with 10+ years of industry experience and medical leadership roles.
  • Oncology training or specialization.
  • Experience as Medical Officer for pivotal trials and regulatory submissions with Health Authorities.
  • Strong scientific background in solid tumor oncology.

Responsibilities

  • Translate organizational strategy into clinical strategies for trials.
  • Own the medical input and execution of clinical strategy for projects.
  • Provide hematology/oncology medical expertise and updates on competitors.
  • Contribute to scientific, medical and commercial development of product candidates.
  • Interact with key opinion leaders to implement latest clinical guidelines.
  • Act as medical expert in interactions with Health Authorities.
  • Create medical deliverables: development plans, briefing books, dossiers.
  • Coordinate medical input to preclinical development of antibodies.
  • Support due diligence and business development activities as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal and external collaborators on medical issues.

The Role

Genmab continues to grow, and we are now looking for a Vice President, Solid Tumors to join our Medical Team to support Genmab´s further expansion.

The VP will be accountable for the medical oversight of several clinical trials, medical review and communication of data, and medical input into regulatory documents and presentations.

We are looking to fill this position in Copenhagen as an onsite position. The position reports to the Program Medical Head.

Responsibilities
  • Translate organizational strategy into clinical strategies
  • Accountable for the entire medical input, process, conception and execution of clinical strategy for specified projects
  • Provide medical expertise in hematology and/or oncology, including relevant, up-to-date knowledge of competitor products
  • Contribute in an active and ongoing manner to the scientific, medical and commercial development of current and future product candidates (internally and externally developed)
  • Interact with key opinion leaders to ensure implementation of the latest clinical and medical thinking and guidelines into clinical development plans, as well as consideration of novel medical methods development and new potential targets
  • Act as medical expert in interactions with Health Authorities
  • Establish productive, interactive relationships with relevant internal departments, as well as the medical and scientific community. Serve as medical and technical resource for clinical issues raised by internal and external collaborators, investigators, consultants and contractors
  • Create medical deliverables: clinical development plans, concept sheets, briefing books, and label and marketing application dossier
  • Contribute and coordinate medical input to preclinical development of candidate therapeutic antibodies
  • Participate in selection of the right product candidates for clinical development, etc.
  • Support business development activities as needed, including due diligence activities and investor activities
  • Support business development and alliance management by providing medical input into the assessment of candidate in-licensing products and ensuring optimal collaboration with partners.
  • May act as delegate to approve labeling documents.
Requirements
  • It is required that you have an MD background with 10+ years industry experience and Medical Specialist leadership roles
  • Training in Oncology
  • Experience as a responsible Medical Officer for pivotal clinical trial(s) and Regulatory submissions/interactions with major Health Authorities is required
  • Scientific background and/or deep understanding of solid tumor oncology is strongly preferred
  • Ability to represent the Company in a variety of internal and external settings

The proposed gross annual/hourly base salary range for this position, in the primary location, based on a full time schedule is:

DKK1.351.200,00---2.026.800,00

The final salary offer will depend on several factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
