Senior QA Specialist, Denmark / Quality Assurance
  • Location: Denmark – working across our manufacturing sites in Assens, Holstebro and Svendborg
  • Working hours: Full-time
  • Work model: On-site at our manufacturing sites
  • Contract type / duration: Permanent
  • Travel: Regular travel between the Assens, Holstebro and Svendborg sites

Are you a hands-on Quality professional who enjoys being close to manufacturing? Do you want to drive a risk-based, data-driven approach to quality across several production sites? Then you might be the person we are looking for.

As our new Senior QA Specialist, you will be part of our QA Enable team and play an important role in providing independent quality oversight across our Danish manufacturing sites, covering fine-cut tobacco, pipe tobacco and nicotine pouches. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and other stakeholders to continuously improve our Quality Assurance System and build quality capability on the shop floor. Reporting to the QEHS Manager Mass Market, you will combine hands‑on manufacturing support with quality engineering, structured problem solving and continuous improvement. This is a great opportunity to shape how quality is managed across multiple sites in an international organization.

What Your Day Will Look Like

In this role, you will typically focus on:

  • Ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Assurance System at our sites, including Quality Control Plans based on product and process risk and Critical‑to‑Quality characteristics.
  • Provide independent quality insight and challenge to ensure products, materials and processes meet specifications and quality requirements, including Food Safety regulations.
  • Enable Manufacturing teams to carry out effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and build their quality capability through coaching in RCA, CAPA, PDCA and other improvement tools.
  • Monitor process capability, product conformity, quality KPIs and poor‑quality costs through trend analysis and statistical methods, and turn findings into improvements across incoming materials, processes and finished products.
  • Support new product introductions and process changes, ensuring quality requirements, risk assessments and controls are in place before implementation, and represent Quality in new product and change‑management forums.
  • Perform Quality System and process audits, support third‑party audits, and keep a strong shop‑floor presence to identify emerging quality risks early.
What You'll Bring
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quality, Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, Process Technology or a related technical or scientific field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering or manufacturing quality, with practical experience of Quality Management Systems, specifications, control plans, deviations/non‑conformances, CAPA and internal audits.
  • Strong practical knowledge of structured problem‑solving methods such as RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa and PDCA, and the ability to analyse quality and manufacturing data and turn trends into actions.
  • A credible, pragmatic and solution‑oriented approach - you challenge constructively, stay independent on critical quality decisions and coach teams to take ownership of quality across multiple sites.
  • Fluency in Danish and professional working proficiency in English.
  • It is an advantage if you have experience from tobacco, nicotine, food, pharmaceutical, chemical, FMCG or another regulated manufacturing environment, knowledge of FMEA, SPC and process capability, advanced Excel or statistical software skills, and experience supporting third‑party audits.
