Job summary

Embankment in Copenhagen is seeking an experienced Product Manager to own meaningful parts of our core B2B platform used by internal service teams and external fund managers across Europe.

You will work with engineering, design, operations, customers, and leadership to understand how the business works, identify problems worth solving, and decide where technology can create impact. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role.

About Embankment

Accuracy is everything. Fund operations still rely heavily on manual processes, spreadsheets, fragmented systems, and a great deal of human coordination. We are building Embankment to change that: turning complex operational workflows into software and automation that is reliable, understandable, and increasingly autonomous. We deliver tech-powered fund services to Europe’s alternative fund managers through our proprietary software platform and service organization. We are 60+ employees across Copenhagen, Aarhus, Stockholm, Oslo, and Luxembourg. Backed by leading investors and trusted by 250+ funds across Europe, we combine deep financial expertise with modern technology to turn complexity into clarity.

The Role

You will own meaningful parts of our core B2B platform used by both our internal service teams and external fund managers across Europe. You will work directly with engineering, design, operations, customers, and leadership to understand how the business works, identify the problems worth solving, and decide where technology can create the most impact. This is not a role where Product defines a feature and Engineering implements it. We believe AI has fundamentally changed how Product and Engineering work together. You will own problems end-to-end: understanding the problem, shaping product direction, validating solutions, driving delivery, and measuring whether what we built achieved the intended outcome.

Problems You Might Work On

• Automating operational workflows that today require significant manual effort.


• Turning complex financial and operational processes into simple software experiences.


• Designing how humans and AI agents work together in regulated workflows.


• Improving how financial, investor, and portfolio reporting is produced and delivered.


• Building controls that identify exceptions and produce reliable evidence.


• Connecting workflows and data across accounting, banking, portfolio, payment, and administration systems.

We collaborate day-to-day using Slack, Notion, GitHub. We heavily utilize modern AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and coding agents, to accelerate discovery, analysis, prototyping, and delivery.

This is a full-time permanent role based in either Aarhus or Copenhagen.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who enjoys understanding difficult business problems, creating clarity from ambiguity, and turning that understanding into products that create measurable impact.

You are comfortable stepping into areas where neither the problem nor the solution is fully defined, learning an unfamiliar domain, and creating clarity as you go.

Product Ownership and Strategy

• Own significant product areas from problem definition through production impact.

• Drive initiatives from discovery through delivery, launch, and iteration.


• Work closely with engineering and design to shape solutions rather than handing over requirements.


• Break large problems into smaller increments that deliver value and create opportunities to learn.


• Get products in front of users quickly and improve them based on actual usage.


• Stay close to customers and our service organization through observation, feedback, and data.


• Keep priorities, decisions, assumptions, and progress visible so teams and stakeholders have clear direction.

AI-Native Product Management

AI is becoming core both to how we build products and what we build. You use AI tools to explore problems, analyze information, prototype solutions, challenge your own thinking, and shorten the distance between an idea and something users can react to. In some cases even delivering your own features directly to production. You will also help shape products where agents perform increasingly complex operational work while humans remain appropriately in control. You should be technically curious, comfortable getting close to how the product works, and interested in what becomes possible as software development and operational work become increasingly AI-enabled.

Collaboration and Leadership

You drive initiatives rather than wait for work to be assigned. You work across Product, Engineering, Operations, and commercial teams to align people around problems and priorities. You communicate decisions and trade-offs clearly, challenge assumptions when needed, and create clarity when there are competing perspectives. You contribute to raising the bar for how we build product at Embankment by improving how we approach discovery, prioritization, planning, execution, and learning.
