Job summary

Ørsted Group's Asset Integrity team seeks a mechanical engineer to lead onshore and offshore pipeline operation, inspection and integrity tasks, plus asset management for Denmark's pipelines and terminals.

You will collaborate across disciplines, perform data analysis, engage with regulators and contractors, and support budgets and reporting while prioritizing safety and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required or equivalent with focus on mechanical engineering.
• Experience in oil&gas plant and pipeline integrity, onshore and offshore.

Responsibilities

• Execute engineering studies for onshore/offshore terminals and pipelines.
• Perform inspection data analysis and integrity assessments across ~800 km of pipelines.
• Support offshore inspection and maintenance campaigns and liaise with authorities.
• Engage with contractors, oil&gas companies and other third parties.
• Ensure quality checks and final delivery of inspection results to integrity engineers.

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for onshore and offshore pipeline operation, inspection, engineering and integrity tasks as well as asset management of the Danish onshore and offshore pipelines and terminals bringing most of the Danish oil and gas into Denmark.

You’ll be part of Asset Integrity where you, together with your engineering colleague will support the organisation with your mechanical engineering skills in the operation, inspection, engineering, integrity and asset management. You’ll play an important role in:

• executing various engineering studies and tasks for onshore oil&gas terminals and offshore and onshore pipelines both internally and by defining scope of work and liaison with external engineering consultants
• performing inspection data analysis and integrity assessment of our approx 800km of pipelines
• supporting the offshore inspection and maintenance campaigns.
• liaison with Authorities, Contractors, Oil&Gas companies and other third parties.
• act as offshore company representative/supervisor onboard contractors’ vessels
• ensure and perform engineering and quality check and final delivery of inspection results to our Integrity engineers
• providing input to budgets and reporting to management.

Once familiar with our systems, you will be included in a 24/7 duty roster to respond to emergency situations.

To succeed in the role, you:

• have key focus on safety, which shall be embedded in all the work you do;
• hold an engineering degree, preferably in mechanical engineering
• have experience working with oil&gas plant and pipeline integrity and engineering both onshore and offshore
• have experience working with engineering companies, contractors and/or suppliers;
• have experience working with practical onshore and offshore pipeline operation and maintenance as well as experience in marine and subsea operations and inspection methods
• have a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks
• possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can work independently in your area of responsibility and participate in a culture of knowledge sharing in an open, honest and trustful culture
• are a team player who thrives on solving complex problems together with your colleagues.
• speak and write English fluently and knowledge with a Scandinavian language is an advantage.

The role involves some travel, including two to three day trips per month to onshore sites, a two-week offshore campaign in summer, and a few conferences or courses each year.
