Job summary

Novonesis in Denmark is seeking an experienced Senior Packaging Specialist in Quality for a global role. You will join the Direct Material Quality group responsible for material and supplier quality across all product ranges and sites, working with a warm, high-level team of 14 specialists.

You will lead packaging quality, regulatory compliance, supplier qualification and audits, while driving continuous improvement and circular packaging initiatives, including PPWR.

Qualifications

• 5 years of packaging quality experience in regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of food contact material compliance.
• Experience with QMS/ERP systems (SAP, Intelex or similar).
• Lead auditor training and familiarity with ISO 13485 and GFSI/BRC standards.
• Excellent English language abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for packaging quality, regulatory compliance, and supplier quality management.
• Lead qualification, approval, and ongoing performance management of packaging materials and suppliers, including supplier audits.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen packaging quality, supplier performance, product integrity, and customer satisfaction.
• Support strategic packaging projects, including circular packaging and PPWR compliance.
• Collaborate with DMQ peers, Procurement, Product Quality Managers, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Operations, and R&D.

We expect you to work independently and demonstrate decision-making skills in collaboration with DMQ peers, Procurement as well as Product Quality Managers, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Operations, R&D etc.What you will need to be successfulProfessional qualificationsMaster’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Life Sciences, Quality, or related field.5 years’ experience with proven packaging quality knowledge from regulated industries (pharma, food, consumer goods).Strong understanding of food contact material compliance.Experience using QMS/ERP systems (SAP, Intelex or similar) and familiarity with HACCP, GFSI, FSSAI, FSMA requirements and BRC Packaging, ISO 13485 standards, e.g. through lead auditor training.Excellent English language abilities.Personal qualitiesSelf-reliant and independent contributor.Proven capability to lead change projects and set direction.Proactive problem-solver.Effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.Strong time-management and multitasking skills.Working at NovonesisYou will have the opportunity to work hybrid with offices in Hørsholm and global online collaboration.
