Job summary

VELUX Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Process Management to lead a small team of BPMs and shape how Products & Innovation operates. You will own the Idea-to-Market processes, drive Stage-Gate PDP, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to improve processes, governance, and performance.

This role is highly visible, requiring a hands-on leader who can turn frameworks into value, embed new ways of working, and deliver measurable outcomes across product development and operations.

Qualifications

• You have substantial experience from R&D, product development, engineering, or innovation environments.
• You combine strategic thinking with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset and can translate frameworks into day-to-day practices.
• You have proven ability to lead organisational change and embed new ways of working.
• You have minimum 5 years of people management experience and a passion for developing teams.
• You know product development standards and frameworks and apply them pragmatically.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the BPM team.
• Own and improve the Idea-to-Market process landscape, including the Stage‑Gate PDP and its underlying product development processes.
• Drive the strategic process excellence initiative, including prioritising, scoping, and executing key process improvement projects.
• Establish and maintain process architecture, governance, standards, tools, and methodologies in collaboration with Operations & Supply and the wider VELUX organisation to build a common BPM foundation.
• Partner with process owners and subject matter experts to design, standardise, and improve core business processes, including establishing Process Improvement Teams and mobilising cross‑functional resources.
• Monitor process performance, maturity, adherence, and adoption, and drive improvements through data, communication, training, and follow‑up.

As our new Senior Manager, Business Process Management, you will lead a small team of dedicated Business Process Managers and play a pivotal role in how Products & Innovation operates and evolves.

Your team sits at the heart of the product development organisation, partnering with leaders and specialists across Products & Innovation. Together, you will strengthen our processes and ways of working, including the continued development of our Stage‑Gate Product Development Process (PDP), to improve effectiveness, quality, and collaboration.

This is a highly visible role with significant influence across the organisation, giving you the platform to drive strategic initiatives while leading a talented and committed team.

You are an experienced leader with a strong understanding of R&D and product development, combined with solid experience in business process management, operational excellence, or continuous improvement. You understand how processes can improve product development outcomes without creating unnecessary complexity or bureaucracy.

You combine strategic thinking with a pragmatic and hands‑on mindset, and you are skilled at turning frameworks, standards, and best practices into ways of working that create real value in day‑to‑day product development. Above all, you are a confident change leader who can bring the organisation with you on the journey towards more process‑driven ways of working.

Moreover, we expect that you:

• Bring substantial experience from R&D, product development, engineering, or innovation environments.
• Have a strong background in business process management, process excellence, or continuous improvement.
• Have a proven track record of leading organisational change, building commitment, and embedding new ways of working.
• Bring minimum 5 years of people management experience and a genuine passion for developing teams.
• Demonstrate strong capabilities in process design, governance, architecture, performance management, and maturity assessment.
• Know relevant product development standards and frameworks and know how to apply them pragmatically in practice.
• Are structured, analytical, pragmatic, and persistent, with a sharp focus on measurable business outcomes.
