As Senior IT Project Manager, you will take ownership of the operational and service‑management activities required to establish consistent global Level 1 support for Research IT systems through an external managed‑service provider. Alongside this primary focus, you will facilitate smaller IT project workstreams and lead cross‑organisational initiatives across Research IT.
This is a broad and autonomous position requiring you to bring structure, momentum and clear decision‑making to a global, matrixed environment. You will work closely with internal specialists and delivery teams, Research leaders and external suppliers, without directly managing the people involved.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Reporting to the Sr Director of Research Tech Delivery & Global Lab Operations, you will join the Novo Nordisk's global Research IT organisation, supporting scientists and laboratories across Denmark, the UK, China, and the US. We build, deliver and operate digital products, platforms and services that enable world‑class research. We also lead and deliver IT as part of strategic business and investment projects, ensuring scalable, secure and future‑ready technology solutions that accelerate scientific innovation.
We are looking for an experienced and delivery‑focused professional who can build trusted relationships while maintaining the structure needed to move complex work forward. You have sufficient technical understanding to operate credibly in an IT environment, while your primary strengths lie in project delivery, governance, facilitation and coordination.

Experience establishing or transitioning to a managed‑service model, or working in Research, life sciences, consulting or another regulated global environment, would be beneficial.

For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600 to 1,091,600 DKK (DK), corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge and relevant experience.
The salary package may include short‑term and/or long‑term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
